The Student Chris t ian Association Wednesday evening took positive action against discrimination in the North and in the South by voting to support the sympa thy march tomorrow, and take constructive follow-up action. The group's purpose in supporting this m a r c h is threefold: 1) " to make discrimination a n issue in the North and tu show support of anti-discrimii i t ion bills in our s tate . 2) to show support of and sympathy with the action of Southern s tudents Involved in s i t d o w n strikes. 3) to express our belief as Chris t ians tihat all m.?n are one in Christ and t h a t discrimination is morally wrong." After nearly t w o hours of thoughtful discussion with SCA President Robert Neiderberger p re siding; and Charles Daingerfield, Robert Factor and SCA members participating, the group voted to support tomorrow's demonstra t ion. Natalie Clark, after saying t h a t "we are supporting, not sponsoring the march" and tha t " r s Chris t ians we can and must take the risks involved in sucti action, trusting in God" moved tha t SCA officially support the march planned for tomorrow, s t a t i n s SCA's purpose and ideas. David Gillette secouied the mo tion which was passed by a vot of 14 to 12 with 2 members a b staining.
